To unlock your account, log into your Rosecap account and navigate to the Verification section.

Identity Verification

You will see the button Start Identity Verification. By clicking on that you will be redirected to the 3rd party automated verification website

Please make your IDs handy before clicking on "Start Identity Verification".

If you are a desktop user, it is highly recommended to continue on your mobile device as it has a better experience and result. You can easily click on Show QR Code and then scan on your mobile phone.

If your mobile phone is not handy, you can still continue on your desktop computer.

You will be required to choose your country and a preferred ID type. For Aussie users, the best ID is your driver's license. However, you have your passport and other options as well.

Also for Proof of Residence – The following documents are acceptable documents:

A bank account statement.
A utility bill (electricity, water, internet, etc.).
A government-issued document (tax statement, certificate of residency, etc.).

If you have encountered the phrase "Insufficient Balance" while trading on Rosecap despite having the balance in your wallet, the following could be the reason:

You may have active order(s), so you can cancel them in the "My Active Orders" section.

How to activate 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)?

For better account security, we strongly recommend that you enable your OTP, also known as two-factor authentication 2FA on your Rosecap account.

To do so, simply:

Log into your Rosecap account
Navigate to the Security section.
Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"

To use an OTP, you need to install the Google Authenticator app on your mobile phone.

After installation of Google Authenticator:

Open the app, use “Add New Account", which is usually displayed with a "+" sign.
Add your new OTP by scanning the QR code as shown in the platform or by entering the code manually.
You need to enter the OTP after scanning or entering the code for the first time to verify.

Your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) code under manual can be recorded for self-recovery for your OTP or/and can be used if you can't scan the QR code with your Google Authenticator app. Keep your OTP safe as it will be used for sensitive actions on your Rosecap account.

From now on, every time you log into your Rosecap account, after entering your password, you will be asked to enter your OTP shown on the Google Authenticator app.*

Why was my verification rejected?

There will always be a specific reason as to why your verification was unsuccessful.

If your Verification is unsuccessful, you will also receive an Email Notification from us with a reason as to why your verification was unsuccessful.

Common Reasons why your verification may be unsuccessful.

Your uploaded documents do not meet the requirements.
Your Uploaded ID document is obstructed or does not have all 4 edges visible. Please ensure the entire ID document is clear and visible for the best results.
Your Verification photo (picture of yourself holding the verification statement) does not meet the requirements. You must have one arm visibly holding the statement and your face must not be obstructed.

What is the difference between Market Maker & Market Taker?

Market Maker

Market makers place orders on to the order book and wait till their orders get filled. Usually, a market maker will try and sell for a higher price or/and buy for a lower price. Market makers use the limit order type so that their orders don't get filled immediately.

If a limit order fills immediately it will be registered as a market taker order (marketable limit order). For a market maker to successfully fill an order they must wait for a Market taker order to match.
It is also important to note that market makers pay a lower fee, as they are contributing to adding liquidity to the market.

Market Taker

Market takers are participants of the market who are agreeing with the currently posted prices on the order book and wish to have their orders filled immediately. If the highest or lowest price is okay then submitting a market order with the amount wanted will settle the trade instantly if there is enough liquidity, this trade will register under the market taker trade since it was filled immediately and taken from the order book.

It is also important to note that market takers pay a higher fee as they are not contributing to liquidity and are taking liquidity from the market.
